Pursuit of Happiness

This was from a book that I've borrowed from the library. Too bad I forgot the title and the Filipino author.

Does anyone know the title of the book? Maybe I should go to the library in the near future

Accession No. 19681 P. 111

Because the pursuit of Happiness develops into greed,
a sort of avarice,
for by sidestepping and avoiding all else,
taking no risks, no chances, playing it safe,
it is followed by the neglect of human
involvement(because that brings us pain sometimes)
resulting in the final outcome of Un-inconvinience
which is the root of Emptiness which is the
oppposite of Commitment which is the root of fulfillment,
the opposite of emptiness.
So you see, you end up not only self-destroyed,
but actually getting it in your heated pursuit.
